If you are running/organising an event that is looking for something
different to add value to the show then the Earl of Loudoun’s
may be the answer you seek.
Unique
in Scotland
Unlike the majority of other ‘re-enactment’ groups in Scotland,
we are one of the few that are non-commercial, we are made up of members
who do the events at high cost to themselves for the love of their hobby.
This devotion flows over into the quality of the show they put on. Additionally
we are one of the few groups that use ‘black powder’, indeed
we currently are the only Scottish based group with it’s own cannon.

Quality
Resources
The Earl of Loudoun’s Regiment is part of the UK wide English
Civil War Society. The society is made up of several regiments which
have an endless knowledge base on the subject. Depending on the needs
of the event this source can supply several regiments, multiple cannon
and even cavalry to an event.
A
Finally Word
Because of the size of our society we attract much greater scrutiny
by the Heath and safety Commission and the Police. We therefore have
very stringent safety rules and always have Public Liability insurance
in place for all our events, we take no unnecessary risks.

We have
organised events at Scone Palace, Blairquhan Castle, Stirling Castle,
Linlithgow Palace, Fernie Castle, Drum Castle, Provanmill House, Carmichael
Estate, Biggar, Prestonpans (this event attracted 12,000 public), Broxburn,
Uddingston, Aberdeen, and many more. We have done film work for Cromwell
Videos, SWT, BBC, and Walt Disney. We have also put on a show for Princess
Anne as part of a visit to Napier University.
The Earl
of Loudoun’s Regiment has over 20 years experience of putting
on displays of comabt and life from the 17th century, bringing history
alive to the satisfaction of both public and sponsor alike. What we
provide is both educational and spectacular.
